What the hour includes.
This is a working appointment, not a sales meeting. You spend the hour with the surgeon, and you leave with two documents: the written plan and the itemized quote. If surgery is not the right answer, you leave with that answer instead, and the reasoning.
Worth bringing: photo ID; a list of current medications and supplements, discussed in person rather than through the website; reference photos if you have them; your questions written down; and a support person if you want one in the room.
CREDITING POLICY
The $150 consultation fee is credited toward surgery if you proceed, whenever you proceed. It is not waived up front: the fee is what keeps every consult unhurried and every attendee serious.

The practice occupies Suite 240 at 6420 N Scottsdale Rd: consultation rooms and the AAAASF-accredited surgical suite on one floor, which is exactly how we like it. Free covered parking sits beneath the building; take the elevator to the second floor and the suite is on your right.
Running late or lost? Call and Dana will talk you in. Consultations are unhurried by design, so you will not lose your hour to traffic.

Is the $150 fee ever waived?
No, and we say that plainly rather than run “free consult” promotions that get made back elsewhere. The fee buys an unhurried hour with the surgeon and is credited toward your surgery if you proceed. If you need a second visit before deciding, it is scheduled without an additional fee.
How far out is surgery scheduled after the consult?
Typically three to six weeks after your quote, varying with the season and the procedure’s length. A single-surgeon practice books out honestly rather than double-booking; Dana keeps a short-notice list if your calendar is flexible.
Can I bring someone with me?
Yes, and for surgical planning conversations we encourage it: a second set of ears helps, and recovery is a household project. Your support person is welcome in the consultation room for as much or as little of the hour as you prefer.
