SHEET F-1 · FACIAL REJUVENATION
EXPRESSION PRESERVED
Facial rejuvenation: rested, not different.
Facelift, eyelid, and neck surgery are planned here so expression is preserved: the goal is the face your friends already know, minus the fatigue it has picked up. Each plan is quoted all-in, in writing.
THIS SHEET · THREE PLANS
All from-figures are all-in: surgeon, facility, anesthesia. Your own number is itemized in writing after consultation.
F.02 · FACELIFT
SUPPORT LAYER · NOT SKIN TENSION
Facelift: repositioning, not tightening.
A modern facelift repositions the deeper support layer of the face (the SMAS) and lets the skin follow without tension. That is the difference between rested and pulled: the operation is designed to move structure, not stretch skin, so expression is preserved.
The jawline, jowls, and upper neck are treated as one unit, because that is how they age. Incisions are planned around the ear’s natural lines and the hairline you actually wear. What a facelift does not do: change your eyes, your brow, or your skin’s surface texture; those are separate conversations, had honestly, and only when you raise them or the exam does.
MARGIN NOTE
The most common thing well-healed facelift patients report hearing is “you look rested,” not “you had surgery.” That is the design intent, stated before you consent, and it is why we operate on the support layer.

F.02.1 · RECOVERY
CALIBRATED · WEEK BY WEEK
The facelift recovery arc, calibrated.
WK 02
BRUISING FADES
The dramatic part ends
Swelling and bruising peak early and fade through week two, typically. You will feel better than you look in week one; plan quiet days, short walks, and no mirrors at unkind angles.
WK 03
PRESENTABLE
Back in the room
Most patients return to work and social plans around three weeks, typically with makeup doing light duty along the incision lines once cleared at follow-up.
MO 01-03
NUMBNESS NORMAL
The strange-but-normal phase
Patches of numbness near the ears and cheeks are a normal part of healing and typically resolve over months. Tightness eases on the same slow clock. Knowing this in advance is most of the cure.
MO 06-12
SETTLED
The result settles
Scars mature and soften, residual firmness releases, and the face moves fully naturally again. The photographs that matter are taken in this window; individual healing varies.
F.03 · EYELID SURGERY
UPPER · LOWER · OR BOTH
Eyelid surgery: the smallest operation people notice most.
Upper-lid surgery removes the hooded skin that photographs as tiredness and, for some patients, sits in the field of vision by evening. Lower-lid surgery addresses the bags that concealer shades but never flattens. Incisions follow the lid’s natural lines, where they typically fade to near-invisibility.
DAY 05-07
SUTURES OUT
Upper-lid sutures typically come out at five to seven days. Cold compresses and elevation do the heavy lifting in the first 48 hours.
DAY 10-14
PRESENTABLE
Most patients are presentable at ten to fourteen days, typically; bruising can linger a little longer in lower lids and usually covers well once cleared for makeup.
WK 06
SETTLED
Fine swelling along the lash line resolves over weeks; the crisp lid crease reads fully by around six weeks, typically. Individual healing varies.

Upper and lower combined is quoted on one itemized sheet. When hooding measurably limits vision, part of an upper-lid case may be billable to insurance; documented separately when it applies.
F.04 · NECK LIFT
BANDS · ANGLE · UNDER-CHIN
Neck lift: the profile’s other half.
Some faces age from the neck up: vertical bands, a softened jaw angle, fullness under the chin that no amount of posture fixes. A neck lift addresses the platysma muscle bands and redundant skin directly, alone or alongside a facelift when the exam says the two should travel together.
Recovery is gentler than most patients expect: a supportive chin-strap garment for the first week, typically, visible bruising largely resolved and presentable at around two weeks, and strenuous exercise waiting for the six-week check. Numbness under the chin is common early and typically resolves over weeks to months.
MARGIN NOTE
If your photographs bother you only in profile, the neck is often the honest place to start; it is also the first thing we check before recommending a full facelift.

F.05 · FAQ
FACIAL · SPECIFICS
Asked about facial surgery, specifically.
The general questions, from the consult fee to financing, live on the practice FAQ. These are the ones facial patients ask.
Call (480) 555-0142Will I look pulled?
The pulled look comes from tightening skin instead of repositioning the support layer beneath it. Our facelifts move the SMAS and let skin settle without tension, which is precisely why expression is preserved. Bring photographs of yourself from ten years ago to consultation; that, not a stranger’s face, is the reference we plan against.
When can I wear makeup again?
Typically around two weeks, once incisions have closed and you are cleared at follow-up; earlier for areas away from the incision lines. Sofia goes through incision care, sunscreen, and cover-up timing with you at the one-week visit so there is no guessing.
What about fillers instead?
Different tools for different problems. Fillers and similar treatments address volume and surface; surgery addresses laxity, the loosening of structure that no injectable corrects. Plenty of consultations end with the honest advice that you are not ready for a facelift yet; when that is true, you will hear it.
How long does a facelift last?
A facelift resets the clock; it does not stop it. You will age normally from a younger-looking starting point, and most patients measure their satisfaction in decade terms. Skin quality, sun habits, and weight stability all influence longevity, and individual results vary.
