CONSULT
You meet the surgeon
Every consultation is performed by Dr. Marlowe: the exam, the measurements, the candidacy answer. Not a sales consultant, not a coordinator with a brochure.
SHEET D-1 · SURGEON
ABPS 2014 · FACS 2016
Board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, fourteen years in practice in Scottsdale, and the only surgeon whose name appears on your plan, your quote, and your operation.

TRAINING · IN ORDER
Plastic surgery is a long apprenticeship before it is a practice. Dr. Marlowe’s path ran through a research-heavy undergraduate program, medical school at Baylor, one of the country’s larger plastic and reconstructive residencies at UT Southwestern in Dallas, and a dedicated aesthetic surgery fellowship before opening her own practice in Scottsdale in 2012.
Board certification by the American Board of Plastic Surgery followed in 2014: a written and oral examination process on top of accredited residency training. Fellowship in the American College of Surgeons came in 2016. Certification status is public and verifiable; we encourage patients to check any surgeon’s, including hers.

MARGIN NOTE · DR. MARLOWE
“A good result is the one that still looks like you.”
The sentence every plan in this practice is tested against.
D.03 · PHILOSOPHY
PLAN FIRST · MEASURE TWICE
Every operation here begins as a drawing: measurements taken in consultation, reference lines on your own photographs, and a written plan you can read before you consent to anything. Surgery executes the plan; it does not improvise one. That order of operations is why quotes can be complete, why recovery calendars can be specific, and why results tend to look like the person who walked in.
The other half of the philosophy is saying no. Some of the most useful consultations in this practice end without surgery: a goal that an operation cannot deliver, a timing problem, a candidate who would trade a small concern for a larger one. You will get that answer plainly, with the reasoning, and the door stays open.
D.04 · THE MODEL
ONE SURGEON · NO HAND-OFFS
Larger practices route you through consultants and coordinators before you meet the person holding the instruments. This practice is built the other way around.

PLAN + OPERATION
The surgeon who drew your plan is the surgeon in the operating room, in the practice’s own suite, with the team named on this page.
M-03
FOLLOW-UP
Follow-ups at one week, six weeks, and six months are with Dr. Marlowe and Sofia Reyes, RN: the people who know your case, not a rotation.
THE HONEST TRADE
A single-surgeon schedule means surgery dates can book out several weeks. We would rather tell you that than hand you off. Dana keeps a short-notice list if your calendar is flexible.
D.05 · TEAM
SMALL · BY DESIGN
SURGICAL NURSE
In the operating room for your procedure and on the other end of the direct line through your recovery. When patients say “someone actually answered,” they mean Sofia.
PATIENT COORDINATOR
Scheduling, written quotes, financing questions, and the no-pressure follow-through after your consultation. Dana answers questions; she does not chase decisions.
D.06 · FACILITY
AAAASF · ON-SITE SUITE
“Accredited surgical suite” is an easy phrase to print. AAAASF (the American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities) is a specific, inspected standard for office-based surgery, and holding it is a choice a practice renews continually, not a plaque it hangs once.
Our suite is on-site, one floor from the consultation room, which means the team that plans your operation runs the room on the day of it. Anesthesia in this practice is administered by a board-certified anesthesiologist, every case: our standing model, not an upgrade.
ACCREDITATION REQUIRES, AMONG OTHER THINGS
Summarized from the AAAASF ambulatory-facility standard; details are covered gladly at consultation.
