Pilcrow ("we", "us") runs this website. This page sets out what we collect when you use it, why, and what you can ask us to do about it.

What we collect

Only what you type into one of our two forms. The reservation form asks for your name, mobile number, email, date, party size, preferred time, and anything you put in the notes box. The private-dining form asks much the same plus the occasion and rough numbers. Nothing else on this site collects information about you.

We do not set cookies. There are no advertising pixels, no session recorders and no third-party analytics. Fonts are served from our own server rather than a font network, so reading the menu here does not tell anyone else that you visited.

Why we have it

• To confirm your table and text you a reminder on the day.
• To tell the kitchen about an allergy or a dietary requirement before service.
• To plan and quote a private booking.

That is all. We do not sell, rent or trade your details, and we do not add you to a mailing list because you once booked a Tuesday.

Allergy and dietary information

What you tell us about allergies and dietary requirements goes to the kitchen and the floor team for that service, and is used for one purpose: feeding you safely. We keep it against your booking so that if you come back we already know — tell us if you'd rather we didn't.

How long we keep it

Reservation records are kept for twelve months, then deleted. Private-dining enquiries are kept for two years, because people plan the same event again. Enquiries that never became a booking are deleted after twelve months.

Who else sees it

Our website host, our email provider, and the reservation software we use to run the book. Each processes the information on our instructions only. Card payments are handled by our payment processor and we never see or store your full card details.

Text messages

If you tick the consent box we'll text you to confirm your booking and remind you on the day. Reply STOP to end it permanently. Standard message rates apply.

Your choices

Ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@pilcrowmadison.com or call (608) 555-0193 and we'll act within thirty days. You never have to give a reason.

Photographs in the dining room

We occasionally photograph the room for this site and for social media. We do not photograph identifiable guests without asking first, and if you'd rather not be in a picture, tell whoever is holding the camera — that's the end of it.

Children

This site is not aimed at children and we do not knowingly collect their information. Bookings are made by adults.

Changes

If this policy changes we'll update the date at the top.
