How care runs here
-
01
Assessment, 45 minutes
Dr. Ruiz and Marcus both look at you. We find what is driving the pain, not just where it hurts.
-
02
Your plan, in writing
Visit count, cost per visit, and what should change week by week — before you commit to anything.
-
03

What we treat
Where does it hurt?
The problems that walk through our door every week — and how we get them moving again. Every condition links to a plain-English guide on what treatment actually looks like.
01
Low back pain
The stiff mornings, the twinge when you lift, the ache that follows you to bed. Our most common case — and our most treatable.
How we treat it →02
Neck pain + whiplash
Tech neck, sleeping wrong, or a fender-bender on College Ave — we restore the motion your neck has stopped trusting.
How we treat it →03
Sciatica + nerve pain
Shooting pain, numbness, or tingling down the leg. We find where the nerve is irritated and take the pressure off — without guesswork.
How we treat it →04
Sports injuries
Runner’s knee, tennis elbow, sprains, and strains from the trails, the gym, or the rec league. Rehab built around your sport, not a printout.
How we treat it →05
Posture + desk strain
Eight hours at a screen leaves a mark: rounded shoulders, tight hips, a nagging mid-back. We undo the pattern, not just the symptom.
How we treat it →06
Headaches from the neck
Tension-type and cervicogenic headaches often start in the neck and shoulders. When they do, treating the source can change everything.

The Range difference
Chiropractic + physical therapy, one roof, one plan
Most clinics make you choose: get adjusted, or do rehab. We stopped choosing in 2016. Dr. Ruiz restores the motion; Marcus builds the strength to keep it — in the same building, on the same chart, without a referral shuffle.
| What matters | Adjustment-only clinic | PT-only clinic | Range Spine & Motion |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fast relief | Often, but it can fade without follow-through | Builds slowly over weeks | Hands-on care for relief, from visit one |
| Lasting change | Depends on visits continuing | Yes — if you stick with the exercises | Strength work is built into the same plan |
| Coordination | Referred out for rehab | Referred out for manual care | DC + DPT share one chart, one goal |
| End point | Sometimes open-ended | Discharge criteria | A defined discharge target from day one |
Comparison reflects common practice models, not any specific clinic. The right setting depends on your condition — that’s what the first assessment is for.
How care works
Three steps. A clear finish line.
Every plan we write has a discharge target. Our job is to get you there — and then get out of your way.
Step 01
Assess
A 60-minute first visit: history, movement screen, orthopedic and neurological testing. You leave knowing what’s going on, what we’d do about it, and what it costs — in writing.
Step 02
Treat
Hands-on care to calm things down and restore motion: adjustment or mobilization, soft-tissue work, dry needling where appropriate — paired with early, targeted exercise.
Step 03
Build resilience
Strength and movement retraining on our gym floor so the problem doesn’t come back. You graduate with a home program — not a lifetime membership.
Insurance + pricing
Know the cost before you walk in
Surprise medical bills break trust. Ours arrive before treatment does: send us your card, and we verify your benefits and text you an estimate before your first visit.
Insurance, verified
We’re in-network with most major plans and verify your chiropractic and PT benefits before you arrive — visit limits, deductible, copay, all of it.
- UnitedHealthcare, Anthem BCBS, Cigna, Aetna
- Medicare + most Medicare Advantage plans
- Auto injury (MedPay) + workers’ comp
Self-pay, no games
No insurance, or a deductible you’ll never hit? Flat rates, posted here, same for everyone. HSA and FSA cards welcome.

No prepaid “care plans”
We don’t sell 40-visit packages on day one, and we never bill for visits you don’t need. You pay per visit, your plan has a discharge target, and finishing it is the goal.
Average plan at Range: discharged in about 8–12 visits, depending on the condition and your goals.
Self-pay rates apply when insurance isn’t billed. Insurance coverage varies by plan; your written estimate comes from your verified benefits, and your exact responsibility is confirmed before treatment begins.
Outcomes we track
Progress you can point to
We re-measure pain, function, and range of motion at every re-exam — so “better” is a number, not a feeling we talk you into.

Patient words
What getting your range back sounds like
★★★★★
“Two years of on-and-off back pain, three clinics, zero answers. Dr. Ruiz and Marcus tag-teamed it — adjustments plus a strength plan — and discharged me at visit ten. Discharged! On purpose!”
★★★★★
“They verified my insurance before I ever came in and texted me the exact copay. After the billing surprises at my last clinic, that alone earned the five stars. The care earned the rest.”
★★★★★
“Sciatica had me sleeping in a recliner. They explained exactly what was irritating the nerve and what each week would look like. I’m back on the Horsetooth trails — with homework I actually do.”
★★★★★
“No one tried to sell me a 30-visit package. They set a target, we hit it, and they showed me how to stay strong on my own. That’s why my whole running club goes here now.”
Good questions
Asked at the front desk, answered here
Still wondering about something? Call us — a human answers.
Call (970) 555-0142Do I need a referral?
No. Colorado allows direct access to both chiropractic care and physical therapy, so you can book straight in. If your exam suggests you need imaging or a physician first, we’ll say so and help arrange it.
Do you take my insurance?
We’re in-network with most major plans — UnitedHealthcare, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Aetna, and Medicare — and we handle auto-injury (MedPay) and workers’ comp claims. Send a photo of your card when you book and we’ll verify your exact benefits before your visit.
Chiropractor or physical therapist — which do I book?
You don’t have to know — that’s our job. Book the new-patient assessment and we’ll route you to Dr. Ruiz, Marcus, or both, based on the exam. Most plans end up using each of them for what they do best.
Does the adjustment hurt? What if I don’t want to be “cracked”?
Adjustments shouldn’t hurt, and they’re never mandatory. If joint manipulation isn’t right for you — or you’d just rather not — we use gentler mobilization, soft-tissue work, and exercise instead. You’re in charge of your own care.
How many visits will I need?
It depends on the condition, but you’ll get a specific plan with a discharge target after your first assessment — most run 8–12 visits. We re-test as we go, and if you’re not progressing, we change the plan or refer you onward. We don’t do open-ended care.
I was just in a car accident. What now?
Get checked even if you feel okay — whiplash symptoms often show up days later. Colorado auto policies include MedPay coverage that typically pays for care like this. Bring your claim number and we’ll handle the billing paperwork with the insurer.
