What a local business website actually costs
Three routes, five years, and the arithmetic nobody shows you — including the one where we are the expensive option.

Upshift Field Guide 3 guides
We are a website agency for auto-body shops. Every rebuild teaches the same handful of lessons, and none of them are secret — so they are written down here: what a site actually costs over five years, which parts of a page produce phone calls, and what changes now that customers ask an assistant instead of scrolling ten blue links.
No email wall, no course, nothing gated. If a guide answers your question and you never buy anything, that is a fine outcome.

Three tracks
Most owners arrive with one of three: nobody finds me, people find me and leave, or I do not know what I should be paying. One track each.
Ranking, Google Business Profile, and the newer problem: being quotable when the search happens inside an AI instead of a results page.
What actually turns a visit into a phone call. The page structure we ship to paying clients, part by part, and the parts we deliberately leave out.
Rent versus own, what five years really costs, and how to tell which of the three routes — template, builder, designer — is honestly yours.
House rules
Three commitments
Every number is traceable. Prices quoted here are our own published prices or a named third party's. Where a figure is arithmetic, the arithmetic is shown so you can check it.
We name the cases where we are the wrong answer. A website builder beats us for some businesses and a full custom build beats us for others. Both are said out loud, with the reasons, in the guides.
Nothing here is gated. No download form, no drip sequence. The guides link to what we sell because that is honest about who wrote them, not because reading costs an email.
The templates are the guides applied — the same structure, built for ten trades, hand-written HTML you own outright from $49. Or talk to us and we build it for you.
Before we set a cookie
One cookie, used once: it tells us which ad led to a sale, so we know which ones are worth paying for. We don't build advertising profiles, and we don't sell anything on.
